HERE, WE CAN DARE TO SHARE WHAT IS TRUE TO US
We are a unique youth-only safe & supportive community. We help each other, we talk freely about our struggles and experiences with peers who are facing, or have faced, the same challenges.
We are young people connected by our challenges, interests, and questions.

YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
Alivia
I’ve always been motivated to help others, especially in regards to mental health. Ever since I joined GUTF, I wanted to make a big difference in everyone’s lives. Being in the supportive group chats has taught me not only that I can help others, but also that I can help myself. I’ve learned so much from all the other teens I have met and I can’t wait to be a part of the Youth Advisory Board!
Blanche
I became a supportive group chat facilitator 2 years ago to help others deal with their problems and to get support myself. I became a Youth Advisor to help GUTF grow and therefore help as many teens as possible.
Jon
I was motivated to become a Youth Advisor for GUTF because I enjoy helping other people think from different perspectives. Motivating people to have a growth mindset creates greatness within a community. My experience as a facilitator for GUTF has led me to understand many difficult situations and helped me understand how to be a leader!
Joyce
Hi, I’m Joyce and I’m from Southern California! I lived in Connecticut for 12 years before moving, so I’m a New Englander at heart. I love dogs, reading (Harry Potter especially!), instant noodles, and holding the door open for people. I’ve been playing piano for almost 12 years and alto saxophone for 7. Can you tell I love music? In college, however, I would like to study either criminal justice, law, history, psychology, or neuroscience (I’m kind of all over the place!). My dream job would be to be the first Asian-American justice on the Supreme Court! I’m super excited to be on the Youth Advisory Board to help advocate for and create safe spaces both online and in-person; I believe everyone deserves to feel that their voice is heard and that they matter. Remember: you are loved!

Mekai
My name is Mekai, I've been with GUTF since March 2019. I joined because I wanted to support someone else at a time when I needed support myself.
