Give Us The Floor Welcomes New Board Member Ana Arriola-Kanada
We’re thrilled to announce that Ana Arriola-Kanada has joined the Board of Directors of Give Us The Floor, bringing with her an extraordinary blend of innovation leadership, creative vision, and deep commitment to uplifting Queer and marginalized communities.
Ana is a globally recognized executive, guiding strategic partnerships and investments that shape the next era of technology, from AI and neuromorphic computing, to robotics, mixed reality, silicon, autonomous systems, digital twins, and the industrial metaverse. Her work has influenced the future of countless industries, always with an eye toward how design, engineering, and culture intersect to shape the human experience.
Across her career, Ana has built products and led teams at Microsoft, Apple, Meta, IDEO, Sony, Adobe, Samsung, PlayStation, Theranos, and OrionsWave. A recipient of some of the world’s most respected design honors—including G-Mark/GOOD, iF, EISA, Red Dot, Cool Hunting, and Tokyo Type Directors Club—she also holds 38 global patents spanning hardware, interfaces, materials, and algorithmic intelligence.
But what most inspires us is how Ana brings all this expertise back to people.
A lifelong autodidact, Ana works in the rich intersections of neuromorphic AI, robotics, data analytics, and creative culture—always exploring how intelligence, design, and humanity can evolve together. A Queer Latine investor, cultural organizer, and advocate for women’s rights and LGBTQIA+ communities, Ana leads the global Semi Permanent community of more than 300,000 members, and co-founded a space, in between, a Japanese atelier redefining inclusivity in luxury plus-size apparel.
Ana is also a mother of four, a photographer with a keen observational eye, and someone who brings deep empathy, cultural curiosity, and intention to every space she enters.
Give Us The Floor exists to create safe, brave, youth-led spaces where Queer and questioning young people can find each other, share honestly, and feel less alone. Ana’s expertise in building thoughtful systems, scaling communities, and designing for human wellbeing will be invaluable as we grow our platform and expand support for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
Her global perspective, her lived experience as a Queer Latine leader, and her lifelong dedication to empowering marginalized communities align powerfully with our mission. We are honored to welcome someone whose work so deeply embodies creativity, care, and innovation to use technology to thrive.
